    Hi:

I have the latest version of VirtualDub v.1.9.9 installed. I have the latest version of Quicktime and also have all the plugins installed but for whatever reason I am unable to open MOV files in Virtualdub.

I keep getting the following error message box(see attachments)

Name:	Virtualdub MOV Error 1.jpg
Views:	845
Size:	38.7 KB
ID:	1286 Click image for larger version

Name:	Virtualdub MOV Error 2.jpg
Views:	468
Size:	64.9 KB
ID:	1287

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

  2. do you have the virtualdub mov plugin?

The latest quicktime (7.6.6) is known to cause issues with several programs. Roll back to an earlier version if you are using it

    Hi poisondeathray:

If by the MOV plugin you mean both the quicktime.ini file as well as the Quicktime.vdplugin then yes. As for the actual Quicktime player, I am currently using 7.6.5 (that was the last one I upgraded to a few months ago.

I also have the other plugins that are needed to enable one to open other types of files. As a matter of fact I just downloaded both plugin packs again(today, 4-13-2010) just in case there might have been some new additions.

You might want to visit the Virtualdub Forum and post the complete crash info text there. Phaeron (Avery Lee) or someone else will be able to help you.
