xvid problem

HI,

I've just downloaded Die another day(xvid). When i play it in windows media player i see a blurry picture but WITH sound. now i downloaded a xvid player and i get a perfect picture but with NO sound.?????

in vdub i get a good picture but gives an ACM sound error. what the hell that means? and tried to save the sound serperate from the picture, and that works. but when i put the both back together. same problem all over again.

Please help.

Sounds like you have a DirectShow filter and can play but not edit.
ACM refers to the sound, try installing an AC3 codec.

Try installing
Moonlight Odio Dekoda, Universal AC-3/MPEG Audio (Layer 1/2/3) Decoder

I had exactly the same problem until just !!

then download the top one of the two options there :-

i installed it just and i have now got sound YIPPEEEEE

Shame you never used Moonlight Odio, then you would have even less problems in time to come.

I would have used it, but when you try and download it, it asks you for your e-mail add and password !

I tried a few times , even from links elsewhere, always going to the same download page.

i am feeling very lucky

As i am running XP Pro, it has a "system restore" built in.

Basically it means that as long as you have it set up correctly, it can return to a pre determined day

luckily it had recorded yesterdays set up ,

i have restored it and it was successful. Thank god

Die another day works again now !!!

Moonlight is not crap, it only looks that way on a crap system

Thank you kipper9999 for the GOOD link to a real .exe easy usable codec!

I don't understand why this KingJohn is always f... us with his Odiostuff codec. It was not working for me. Even if it does work well, why such a "you should better use this one", etc. ??!!
