Im a complete and utter newbie, and I have enjoyed a lot of the how-tos and the guides in here.

I used easydivx to make a DivX movie - worked like a dream.
Then I was thinking about how one would downsample a DVD that was DualLayer-DVD9 to a one dvdR of 4.7gig.

Well, I found DVD2ONE, and it worked like a dream.
I used DVD-DECRYPTer to rip the movie - again, worked like a dream.
but now Ive got four files of more than one gig a piece.

THEN I used VOBMERGER til merge these vob files.

Everything works like a dream - no errors at all.

    but one ..

Now I want to put this darned movie onto my dvd+rw disc of 4.7gig. And I cant find any decent software to actually do this! Ive got RECORDNOW, but it doesnt want to burn anything but IMG or ISO.

Now, I know (after the fact, of course) that DVD DECRYPTer rips directly to ISO, but is there really no way for me to get this large VOB file burnt onto a disc?

I see that a lot of people use the .IMG format, but how do I turn my .VOB into a .IMG?

    Im at a loss!

So naturally I ask you guys - you seem to know everything!

  2. First of all why did you merge the VOB files created by DVD2one. Leave them as is.

    Update to Recordmax DX

    http://dl1.easy.co.jp/rndx45_e/splash/regist.html

Create an empty AUDIO_TS folder for ex. C:\AUDIO_TS

    Start Recordmax DX
exit the wizard in recordmax. Choose create a data disc.
drag over the audio_ts folder and video_ts folder that dvd2one created.
    and burn with recordmax..

Thanks! I will try updating the software, and see if your tip works (im sure it does.)

The reason I merged them, to tell you the truth, is because I was under the impression it was just to burn away.

    Thanks again,
