Does anyone have this card or know if its good.
I used to have that crappy ATI TV Wonder and I returned it
Is the TV2000 XP Deluxe worth it?
I want to capture tv and take from video tapes and vhs,
And get them on my computer to burn to vcd on my 65inch widescreen at great quality,

    Thanks

  2. Get the ADVC-100 .. I've tried various TV Tuner/capture cards and it's always missing that little something . The ADVC converts analog video signals to DV AVI and got no TV tuner built in. Since you are going to capture VHS, so presumably you are going to connect a VCR to it anyway, use that as your TV tuner

This is a very good quality card for the price, however there are much better (more expensive) ones out there. I mostly use the card for TV viewing and not capturing. I have experimented with capturing a little and have found it to produce good quality results. I usually capture straight to DVD mpeg2 to avoid reencoding. I you purchase this card I would avoid using the software provided to capture as it can sometimes be a bit buggy and is also annoying to look at (flashing lights and funky colors.) It does have an excellent scheduler function however and the card comes with a cool looking remote. All cards have there pros and cons but I personally like this card and think it would be suitable for what you plan on doing.
