  1. Can someone please tell me why Nero wont burn my svcd image that I created with dvd2svcd.

It sais the file is to large but I have enabled overburn on nero.

It should not be too large cause it was created with the standard svcd2dvd
    parameters.

Is there another program out there that will burn svcd images created by dvd2svcd?

Thanks to everyone for there help in advance

  4. ok ryanreko and anyone else who is interested in solving this problem

I tried this and it works perfectly for me

    Start fron the beginning

in dvd2svcd go to the bitrate tab
    then
change the cd size from 800 to 740

    all of them
    then
where it sais between 0 to 50 lessen the 50 by 5 and do so all the way down to the bottom
    so it reads like this.
    0-45
    45-58
    58-97
    97-120
    120-165

it seems to me that when you create an image it makes it slightly to big for nero to fit on a 80min cd

Well anyway i hope this helps you guys out there
    It worked perfectly for me

It's true that DVD2SVCD creates image files that are slightly larger than they sould be. I have found that if you set the CD size to 790 instead of 740 then the resulting image files are usually exactly 80 mins long, those extra 50 megs can really count quality-wise...

  6. I had problems with both DVD2SVCD and nero. DVD2SVCD just refused to encode the last part saying there was not enough space on disk and therefore could not write to ini file, but I used VCD Easy which is far easier and better IMHO

However when I burned using Nero there was a audio sync problem. worked fine in the computer, but not on my Tosh Hardware modified set top box.

I tried Win on CD 5 Power edition and it now all works fluffy

VCD easy might not have the same control over the end result as dvd2svcd for the newbie but it can be altered if you go into each program individually and save the changes

However each DVD creates 2-3 CD's worth and the results are top notch and there would be no reason why you could not create a single file rather than 3 and burn it to a DVD instead

    Hope this helps
