NERO burn error

Hi all!

Yes, Im a newbie to this whole DVD burning thing & Im sure you fine folks have been where I'm at now. Im having a problem with both NERO 8 Ultra & NERO 6. Each time I try to burn Movie files to DVD i keep getting the " illegal disc" error mesage:

Im currently using SONY DVD-Rs & a friend of mine borrowed one of my blank discs & did what I have done to the letter & he was able to burn to the disc. Am I using the wrong disc type or is there maybe something else I'm doing wrong? Please help guys...I desperately need to free hard-drive space!

umm.....your link is broken or something.....

NERO is considered crappy software to use for dvd burning. Use IMGBURN to burn media. It's freeware.

Not much info to work with. You are burning at 4x, maybe you need to burn at a higher speed with your burner/media combo. I use Nero 6 and it burns all my videos fine. I suppose it's possible DMA is "off" on your burner which may explain the slow burn speed.
