  1. I have downloaded the aspi adapter check.exe and it says that is it not working right. So I tried to install the updated one(4.71) the only one I could find on this site. It won't let me do an update and tells me that it is working fine. It isn't however, as I can't unlock the vob files for my first dvd rip to avi. I am using win xp witha 1.75 ghz processor and I have smart ripper, dvd2avi, chapterxtractor, tmpgenc, lsxmpeg encoder and a host of other programs including windvd installed. Have I corrupted this adapter in some way and if so how do I fix the problem, I have been searching the forum for a long time looking for an answer.

  3. Ok , I am under the understanding that the only way to uninstall the aspi adapter is to delete the files in aspichk.exe that come up. I have done this two times and it still won't let me install the new 4.71 ones. Is there anyother way to do this I am not aware of ?
Thank you so much for you help

  5. Thank you so much, That did it, I had to play it first to unlock the files. I don't remember seeing anything on here about playing it first to unlock the files but that did the trick.
