  1. OEM AO-4 pioneer (cendyne retail box) and Pioneer brand DVD-R media (and same result with the free included DVD-RW disk, brand unkown). The pioneer media is DVS-RP4700SP. Ok, When I use DVDxCopy as stated and try to backup a dvd I get an error that says the media is not writable. It seems to think the blank isnt a blank. I have never burned with this drive. It came with nerovision and nero express and sonic My dvd too. I thougth about doing a data backup to test the burner. Whats your recomendations? Is this a DVDxCopy error, Hardware issue or blank media issue? System is a tbird 1ghz (oc'd slightly), 414mb ram PC100, XP Pro, GF2MX video. Computer encodes with DVD2SVCD flawlessly. Rock stable for days. Drive reads/rips fine. Never done a burn yet of any kind. Im kinda lost here guys. Whats the best bet? The two movies I've tried so far with the same results are Zoolander (NTSC Widescreen) and 40 days and 40 nights NTSC widescreen.
    TIA,

  2. After it prepares the first DVD-R, just hit the "Refresh" Button. It should turn green and then you can click "Burn now"

  4. Ok, Kinda got it figured out. For some reason SOME of the media I have dont work. I have two different Pioneer blank DVD-R types. The one that dont work is DVS-RP4700SP. The cover says "for authoring." Apparently it wont use them. The other media I have is DVS-RP470SDF and it works fine. Anyone have a solution to helping me use these blanks? I have 20 of them so far and get them free so I can get alot more!
