I'm getting an error message when I try to import an AC3 file into DVDMaestro. I created the file in DVD2AVI. The error message reads: "Cannot locate a frame SYNC word at an expected byte offset. Data might be corrupted. (0xc1070042)" . This is my first time using Maestro. Any ideas where I might have screwed up would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Edit: I tried muxing my m2v and ac3 files w/ TMPGEnc. The resulting mpg had no sound.

  2. Hi,

I had the same problem. How do you demuxed the AC3 ? With DVD2AVI. In this case, demux direct with DVDDecryptor. This AC3-Stream can be imported in Maestro.
With only one DVD until now I had this problem.

    Thanks Laddi!
Last night I determined that the problem was with DVD2AVI. If I set Audio to decode everything is fine. I can play the resulting wav file. When I set Audio to demux, the resulting ac3 file is blank. In this case I get 93 min. of silence. I'll have to try another movie to see if it is a problem with this particular movie (Shrek). There was also a problem with the chapters on this movie - couldn't get Maestro to read them. I didn't know DVD Decrypter can demux. I'll try that also.
