I am using iuVCR to capture using the Aver EZ DVD Maker card as it works well in 98 with a 4GB workround. I can capture to 720 by 640 with no dropped frames from vhs. However when I try to use VDub to join the avi (huffuv codec) 4Gb portions Vdub gives the error either "cannot append segments. The video streams have different sampling rates (24.99731 v 24.99844)" or "cannot append segment. The audio streams have different sampling rates ( 44091.0000 v 4400.5000)" depending wether the audio or video is chosen as the master stream in iuVCR.
What can I do? Mail is returned from the iuLAB support.

    Problem resolved.
Untick Master Stream (in Options) as this facility alters the audio or video frame rate to try and keep them in sync.
I can now capture at 768 by 576 with the preview window disabled and no dropped frames in iuVCR.
Also can now use VDub for things other than capture.
Hope this is of use to someone else.
