I just bought a spindle of Princo DVD-R and, using my new Sony DRU-500A, successfully burned a backup copy of one of my DVD movies. DVD Decrypter and the latest version of Nero accomplished this task. Yes, Nero hung at the end of the burn session, BUT after restarting my computer (to eject the DVD from the Sony drive) I was able to play the movie flawlessly in my Pioneer 525 standalone player. Can't wait for Veritas to release a patch/new version of RecordNow MAX that is compatible with the Sony DRU-500A!

p.s. Supposedly Princo DVD-RWs are not recognized by the Sony drive (read from another post) but the Princo DVD-Rs do in fact work!
