  1. I want to edit out some of my shooting I did with my analog camcorder. I looked into using Virtualdub, but it looks like it is meant for "splitting" avis and not editing them.

    What is the best thing to use for editing out scenes you dont want? I'd like to do it in avi format, that way the edited version can be imported into Vegas Studio.

    I would look into Ulead's Media Studio Pro DC.

    You can download a 30day free Trial copy at:

    You can capture, edit, and output to MPEG2 all in the same program. It does a very good job at MPEGs, sound is always in sync, no micro blocks, etc....
