Ok, sorry but i find it nesicary to ask 3 questions because its better than posting 3 topics![]()
1. I cant seem to find anything about bitrate settings So if i have a DivX movie with the following specs:
640 x 368, 129950 Frames, 25.000 Frames/Sec, 76 KB/Sec, what bitrate MPEG-1 should i convert it to (ie 1500kb/second) in order to get the most minimum quality loss?
2. What makes a DivX-VCD conversion faster? More Mhz, more memory, less applications running? ect
3. Is there a difference between files with the extention MPEG and files with the extention MPG?

hi,
1. Cant help you with this as no divx experience
2. All 3 will help you, although i saw a huge boost when i upgraded my processor and having loadsa ram did it good aswell
3. No difference whatsoever -
- The original frame and source doesn't really affect your consideration of output bitrate.
If you intend to make a VCD, the output resolution will be 352x288(PAL)/352x240(NTSC), 1150Kbps, regardless of your input.
There's no real relation between DivX bitrate and MPEG-1 bitrate. - Yes, yes, and yes.
- Yes. The letter 'e'.
But nothing apart from that.
- The original frame and source doesn't really affect your consideration of output bitrate.
