    hi all

i have a big problem. Some of my .avi files are flippedupside down after i installed DIVX6.6.1 bundle. What's wrong with it?? Previously with divx 5.21, there's no problem!

I've tried the divx all in one fix @ http://support.divx.com/cgi-bin/divx.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=2396 , but to no avail.

Now, i've uninstalled divx. The video works normally.
    i realised something :
--after uninstalling, windows media player tells me that it uses nero video decoder. (see picture)
--Previously, with divx 6.6 update installed, the video decoder part is blank.

--i dont' have xvid codec installed. since i bought this computer, i've only installed nero and divx 5.21. nothing else. updating to 6.61 caused this problem

its frustrating. please help me ... i think my problem is similar to that @ https://forum.videohelp.com/topic150504-30.html#1736262

The newest version of DivX is 6.6.2

Perhaps you should update and see if that "fixes" your issue.

With the divx codec installed, it should have said "DivX Decoder Filter" in wmp and not blank.

After you install divx if it's not the default decoder, In windows/system32 find divxdec.ax and install it. I associated ax files with regsvr32.exe so when I double-click on an .ax file it installs the filter.

  4. Regarding upside down video in Divx: go to the Divx Decoder Configuration Utility and turn off "Use advanced hardware overlay". Or try updating your graphics card's drivers.

hey guys. thanks for replying. i'll try out the recommendations one by one and see if it works.

btw, whre's my nero decoder come from? is it with nero vision express? can i set it as default decoder after installing divx 6.6? because after installing divx6.6, the decoder part turns blank as i've said. nero video decoder(before divx6.6 was installed) on the other hand, works fine.
