Sound Problem

I have tried convering Snatch from DIVx 5.0 to VCD, when I try to split the sound from the .avi files Virtual dubz 1.4 tells me it's in an unknown form of compression. The .avis play fine through media player but I can't convert it due to the sound problem as TMPGenc won't touch the sound either. Any ideas anyone PLEASE.

sounds similar problem i`m having at the min with murder by number. step 1 is don`t go full processing in vitua dub , just direct stream copy. And change the extention of the wave file to AC3. I`m having trouble doing the last bit. Its say Murder.ac3.wav

Thanks for that, I'll give it a try.
To rename a file from wav - ac3 if your using XP etc is to open a command promt and change to the directory using DOS commands then rename filename.wav filename.ac3

Give that a go. I have sorted my problem. Downloaded an excellent tool called CoolEdit. All yer to do is select extract audio from Video file and it Worked for me, where Virtua Dub wouldn`t let me.

No problem. If only I had that when I had Harts War. Did the Trick with Murder By Numbers though.
