Looking for advice on a new TV. Am looking at 47+" 16:9 HDTV ready projection and 42" plasma TVs. If I'm watching VCDs converted from Divx will the picture quality be so blocky that it's unwatchable? Right now I watch my VCDs on my 10 year old 27" TV. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

It just wont be HDTV quality since vcd doesnt take advantage of the HD standard. The resolution is to small.

Just make sure that whatever TV your buy has the picture noise reduction.

ya think if someone is gonna shell out a buttload of money for a cherry tv they'd consider buying a dvd burner and just forget about vcd..
vcd is not without its few certain charms, but dvd-r's are so much better..
