  1. I can't explain this... It's really very strange. I converted a DivX to MPEG2. Everything works fine untill i want to cu the movie in parts... It says: Searchin *****.MPG it says that for a very long time untill sudenly it starts producing a Video stream, everything is still normal. It does the same for the Audio stream. But the last second of my audio stream, TMPGenc suddenly hangs... What to do?

  2. try bbmpeg, located here: http://www.vcdhelp.com/tools . then read the guide also on this site in the "Edit" section on how to cut mpeg 2.
If idiots could fly, vcdhelp.com would be an airport.

  3. I usually find that a more successful method of producing a 2 part MPEG,is to split it during the encode (ie: use the source range and batch encode functions).

Does this happen on the first half, or only the second half ?, if its the second half only try marking the end a few frames back in the source range.

You can also try using the same function, but streaming the whole movie incase there is a problem at the end of the file. Make sure MPEG 2 is selected from the drop down list
