ok guys heres the deal i have a pioneer 104 and have made backups of quite of few dvds and home movies. I have a couple dvd players an old rca, philips magnavox 940 (i think), a daewoo 3000n and a ps2. The ps2 works best and then remarkably enough the rca. I think the philips will play some but the daewoo wont play any. Any ways most dvd-r's work but the further they get to the edge of the disk the worse they get. they work fine for about 2/3 of the disk and then they get jumpy. I thought it was a media problem as I was using prime disk. Memorex the same thing and the same with pioneer. I have tried those crappy tdkg2.0 disks and those dont work at all. I now believe it to be my players since none of them are certified to play dvd-r. So here is my dilema. Do I spend another 150 to buy a dvd player that says it will play dvd-r or should i just build a cheap computer that will play anything and everything that uses my tv as the monitor. Also im hesitant to buy another dvd player as i want to be sure that it will work and because i bought three already. The rca first, then the philips as the rca didnt play vcd, then the daewoo as the philips wouldnt play cdvd. Help!
Thanks in advance
