I captured a 2 hour home VHS movie using the Huffyuv codec at 640x480 and my capture file is at 56GB, my hard drive is 120GB but it's not enough because when I try to run filters on the file in VirtualDub it's creating a new file that is filtered but can't finish because it runs out of disk space. Two 56GB files just do not make it. Any ideas besides cutting down to 352x480, which I tried but got a lot of dropped frames and the picture has comb like lines on the edges of a lot of stuff in the picture.

Yea, I'm thinking about trying the PicVideo codec, but I like the Huffyuv.

I liked Huffyuv too. Until I discovered the DivX. Used them, and never looked back.

Assuming you eventually want to feed the processed file to another application, you'll find VirtualDub's 'frameserver' mode invaluable. It basically pipes the processed data via a 'pointer' file, without creating an full 'intermediate' file.
I think there used to be a good guide regarding how to set the frameserver within vcdhelp.com's domain, btu I can't locate it at the moment. However, this guide from VirtualDub's official site would probably do just as well.
