DAT

I got a dat file from my friends CD, and i need to know how to convert a DAT file to avi or mpeg or SOMETHING THAT I CAN A BURN. if you dont know, can you at least tell me how to copy the files onto my hard drive? my friend needs the CD back. the dat file plays well with windows media player, so it is a movie file.

have you tried to play that CD in your player? If it works why don't you copy from that CD to another CDR. You can use NERO for this easy job, but if NERO give you any problem I would suggest give CloneCd a try.

well i dunno if my DVD player will play a dat file, i didnt think of that, but if not you gave me an idea, i can use nero and do a VCD project using that file....maybe....thanx.

Humm have you got a hold on vcdgear, you can use that software to convert dat file back to mpeg.
