Tryinig to burn a VCD to CD with EZcd 5 and instead of video ended up with folders.
I can preview the VCD in EZcd before I burn it. When I add it to the Video Cd Layout it shows as a blank screen. File properties show the VCD as MPEG. What am I doing wrong?

Frame rate is 29.97. Frame size is 352x240. What other info do I need to know and where would I find it?

I converted the AVI using TMPGENC 12a to a MPEG1.
Bitrate-1150.... Size-352x288....FPS-25....Constant Bitrate
Aspect ratio-4:3 625 line PAL.
When I tried to burn it with Nero, It said it wasn't VCD compliant so I ran the encode option in NERO. It then burned it successfully, it said.
When I put the CD in, Only folders appear....
CDI,EXT,MPEGAV,SEGMENT and VCD.
Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong???

From what you've said, you've done nothing wrong, so I'm curious to know what your expectation is?
Your video is now in the MPEGAV folder and is named AVSEQ**.DAT or MUSIC**.DAT. Pop it in your standalone VCD player (or VCD capable DVD player) and ... uhm ... push PLAY. -

Well, that's what I didn't know. It does play and quality is good. Thx for your reply.
I guess my question now would be is it worthwhile to learn how to make the CD boot by itself when you put in the player or is that a lot of work??? -
What kind of cd-R's do you guys use? I'm using the Sony CD-R's and am using the latest demo of Nero 5.5.3.5.
Also, I have another question. Why do I get the message "Buring Process failed". Whenever I try to burn a video CD, Nero accepts the MPEGs I've encoded(using TMPGEnc). They were .avi but I knew you had to change them so that's what I did. I have a 4x speed burner and tried burning my video cds at that speed. Do I need to change the discs I'm using or do slow down my burner. Please help! I'm running out of blank cds!!!! -

First try burning at 2x.
Second try creating an image file first, then burn the image.
Third buy a CD-RW. One will do you. -
An image file is your complete authored VCD in one large file on your hard drive, suitable for burning. For whatever reason, I've found Nero burns image files much faster and more reliably on systems with slow processors, or systems where Nero exhibits other issues (like it won't burn your audio CDs perfectly 100% of the time, either).

What program do you use to make am image file? I ask, because right now I'm trying to get TMPGNEnc to convert avi 2 mpeg, but it's saying "it can't be opened or not supported." Would creating an image file save me from all this trouble or am I screwed?
