I need some help from the experts please.
I want to be able to convert DV input to SVCD output to play on my DVD player.
I have a JVC DV camcorder linked via firewire to a new XP PC. I’ve successfully managed to connect and capture the input using MGI Videowave 4 add titles etc and save the production in MPEG2 format. (Windows Movie Maker would be an alternative but crude capture/editing program).
I then uses Nero 5.5 to burn the CD and have added a menu & opening title. All worked well and is readable by my DVD player.
The problem I have is quality. Any motion is very distorted and there is a little pixelation in places. What am I doing wrong, and how can I solve this problem.
I’ve not changed any of the default settings in Videowave or Nero. (I do have the MPEG2 Nero codec).
I have read through lots of the Neubie articles and forums on this site, but not as yet picked up a solution to my problem.
