Vob Conversion

I have a Divx with ac3 and i want to take just a song and make a vob and then make a miniDVD is possible from a divx with ac3 to make a vob with ac3 sound, what program or programs should i use.

One topic is enough and everything about divx to anything should be posted in the newbie conversion forum.

Demultiplex the ac3 from the avi with for example virtualdub.
Encode the video with with tmpgenc to dvd standard, be sure to convert to same format, if 23,976 then 29,97 with 3:2 pulldown(use the tmpgenc wizard and it usually fix it automatically)
Author and burn with for example spruceup, name the video and audio with the same name but the audio with the extension .ac3 and add the video in spruceup and the audio will automatically added www.vcdhelp.com/spruceup.htm
or use another authoring tool with ac3 support.
