  1. I finally found a program that converted my svcd (mpg2) video to divx format. Now what I watn to do is put a block over the subtitles using clip frame. What I want to know is what should the settings be in order for me to save this back to svcd format, since the screen size will be differnt since I will be cropping the picture narrower. Here's the info on the file:

    51 min. and 19 sec
    301,664, kb
    480 x 246 29.971
    92299 frames
    divx 5
    keyframs 394
    44100
    mpeg3
    stereo

    thanks

Sounds like your converting to DivX to crop, then want to convert back after the crop. Have you tried the crop (Clip frame) in TMPGEnc during conversion SVCD to SVCD . Think the older TMPGEnc 12J is best at this, because of the mpeg 2 support.

  3. I just ran the wizard and used the setting in there, but I did add in noise reduction and quantize martix filter and it looks great.
