In the past I've only used TMPGEnc 4.0 Xpress to convert my DV files into mpg files for DVD Burning purposes.

Now I'm trying to cut/edit video using this program. I imported a video file, and I'm on the "cut-edit" screen, but can't seem to cut out the sections I don't want. I think I'm having trouble selecting what I want to delete. I'm sure it's something so simple, but I'm having some trouble. Anyone familiar with TMPGEnc & can help me out?

    Thanks a bunch!

sorry, I posted the procedures to do it in TMPGEnc DVD Author, but after the fact, realized you were asking about Express, so I deleted my post.

Unless there's a spaceissue or something, I would convert the whole video with TMPGEnc Xpress, then do your editing when you author. That way you can deal with the original audio without having to edit it as well (TMPGEnc Xpress/Plus doesn't deal well with a few types of audio, but PCM should be ok). Editing in TMPGEnc DVD Author is fairly simple. Go into the 'edit' mode for the clip, set the start and end frames of the section you want to cut out, then click 'cut'. That's it.
