    Before i installed directx8 everything was good (was using directx7) and because the game i installed it asks to install directx8 so....here is my problem .....i realized that the vcd palying(playing with windows media player7) became slow after i install dx8...
    how can i fix this..

    Im using 8 and everythings fine... Describe what you mean by "playing slowly"

    sure....i mean it seens to be losing the quality as it is in the begining ....first i had very good quality video playing normal and now it seens not playing the video properly....

    Ok is the version of Direct X 8.1? If not, go here and get it...

    Then try updating the drivers for your graphics card...
