Yes I have read the other posts on the subject.

I thought I finally had a system for copying 2 hour VHS to DVD. I am using Dazzle DVC II for capture and getting great real time MPEG-2 compression at DVD resolutions of 720 X 480 VBR 4000.

If I view the resulting 3.7 GB MPG file it looks great and the sound is in sync for the whole two hours.

If I encode this to VOB files with either Ulead's products or DVDit, 1 hour into the video the sound is off by a second or two. NeoDVD works OK, but creates VOB files that consume 5.6 GB and won't fit.

I am using an Athlon 1.2 GHZ 256MB memory 7200 RPM 100 ATA drives and running Win98.

I know some folks are not having problems.

Care to share the secret ???
