I just ripped a DVD, The VOB plays perfectly, but the last 2 episodes audio lags by 600ms.. I had to encode the whole VOB with AutoGK into 1 large file and cut it into the appropriate episodes. The first 2 are perfect, but last 2 as I said lag. I just looked at 2 guides and didn't make any headway. All I need to do is simple add 600ms of silence to the beginning of the movie and it will all be on sync.. so what free program can I use to do this?

    Audio: VBR MP3 128
    .AVI

    Thanks In Advance

  2. avidemux

checkmark the "shift" in the audio sidebar and enter 600

leave the video and audio set to "copy"

    leave the container as "avi"

press save with extension (e.g. "myfile.avi")

    cheers

Does avidemux do a better job than VirtualDubmod?

If you are referring to simply shifting a vbr mp3 by a constant amount, then not necessarily, because both can do that.

However, overall it handles vbr audio much better than vdubmod because it builds a vbr time map and there is less room for sync errors (especially when you do other manipulations)
