I am trying to put all my home videos onto svcd as the quality is much better than VHS tape. Also by using menus it is easier to find the required film, most edited films are between 10 and 20 mins long.
My problem is this. I have successfully created MPEG2 files using TMPGEnc. I can successfully write these to CD with a simple menu using Nero and play them on my DVD player (Dansai DVD852). When I create and write a CD with more elaborate menu with intro film using Ulead DVDworkshop, I can successfiully view the resultant cd using WinDVD but the DVD player will not even recognise the disk.
I have checked the file structure of both types of CD and noticed that the one created with DVDworkshop does not have a file in the EXt directory but the one created with Nero does.
Can anyone help please?
