What works well with a AVSEQ01 file? I tried NVDVD and WMP 9.
Any suggestions?

You havn't specified what the file extension is..... so I'm presuming from the filename that it is a .dat file as found in a folder on a vcd. Should open with dvd player software such as power dvd (sorry not sure what nvdvd is or why not working).
you know it's the anti-Midas touch when all you touch goes to shit.............. -
I know what your on about, get VCDEasy, in there click on the tools button to the side then click on the mpeg tools tab, then at the bottom there is a dat file convertor, in the top box you have the destintion of the dat file, in the box underneath you specify where you want the mpg file to be extracted to then click convert.
hope that helps. -
...or use VCDGear to do the same as above.

All versions of Windows Media Player will play the .dat file but only if it is MPEG-1 standard VCD Format. If you encoded the VCD outside of Standards, Like MPEG-2, media player will not play it unless you have the dvd decoder plug-in, and even then it is buggy. All dvd player software should open the file, just right click on it and select "Open with" and choose your dvd player software.
