troubles converting avi to vcd get sound but no picture

I convert my downloaded avi files to mpeg using TMPEG. But when I burn them to CDR with NERO I only get the sound and no picture. Can anyone help.

does the mpg play good before burning? do you try to play on puter or set top? Cant help with no info.

Make sure you have installed the VFAPI plug-in. Next, try adjusting the priority settings under Option>Environmental setting to give DirectShow Multimedia File Reader top priority (i.e. raise its priority to 1 or higher).

VFAPI plug-in
Priority
direct show multimedia file reader 3
avi vfw compatiable 1
avi2file reader 1
wave file reader 1
TMPGEnc project file reader 1
bmp/ppm/tga/jpg file reader 1


These are all the plug-ins that i have. If I am missing any let me know/PLEASE....

Does the avi play on your computer pre-conversion with TMPEG?

yes the avi plays on my compter . I use a divx player to view my movies.
