  1. How do I add subtitles for burning dvd in HandBrake? Here I have added the mp4 file:

    but where do I add the srt file:

    This is of course obvious knowledge to the makers of HandBrake but not to me Image

  2. DVD needs bitmap subtitles (idx+sub), not text subtitles.

  3. OK, thanks. Meanwhile I used dvd-creator and it accepted srt-files - but is payware. There used to be open-source software at SourceForge that let you do this but it was decades since I used it and forget the name.

    It was an overnight job with the PC I used then but the result was good. Vitualdub?

    Dvdstyler will do what you need.

  5. just drag and drop your srt into handbrake, anywhere above the tabbed section works
