Question about Handbrake Nightly Build

Hello all,
I've been using Vidcoder for years to encode MKV to MP4. I simply like the interface and options better than Handbrake. That said, I have heard a lot about Handbrake night builds and how advanced users prefer that version. What is the scoop with the night builds vs. the regular Handbrake build?

Nightly builds are alphas. The include the most recent additions to the program but may be buggy. You shouldn't use them unless you have need for a new feature that's not in the release build. Beware that the new feature may not work properly.
