Hello,
I'm new there, it is just my first rippings, the various "How to..." hep me a lot (thank !), I searched through the Forum, but I do not find anything like this...
Here are my issues :
Instead of ripping all the DVD, I just want a part of it (i.e. there are 5 episodes on the DVD, and I want only two of them).
I'm using Smartripper (latest version) and I'm ripping in 'movie mode'. I select the 'Title->Program->Angle" I do NOT want and then I uncheck all the chapters. I do this for all the episode I do NOT want.
I can unselect all the way I want, either by 'Chapter' or by 'Cells', one by one or with the buttons 'none', in the end, if I come back on one chapter I unchecked, it is always checked.
If I keep only what I want, without getting back to the 'Chapter' I unselected, when I do the ripp, all the DVD is ripped, i.e. Smartripper does not care about what I checked / unchecked at all.
I tried to create a VOB file for every chapter, but it doesn't work either. Smartripper always creates as many VOB files as there are on the DVD. Once again SR does not care about my 'settings'.
If I use CladDVD Xp 1.3, then I'm able to only ripp what I want, but the 5 gigs of the DVD are scanned for all episodes. Moreover I have to do them one by one (it is not possible to do a multiple select). Needless to say I waste a lots of time this way...
My questions are :
How can I tell to Smartripper : "Just ripp this 24 minutes episode and forget the rest" ?
Which program can I use, if Smartripper is not able to do it and CladDVD does it 'badly' ?
Thanks in advance !

Well, yes, of course, I can do this
But I would like to know things like :
- Am I alone to have these issues ?
- are they known bugs ?
- does it come from my installation ?
As I said, I already handle 'the bug', but it is not very 'comfortable'
Thanks anyway for your answer, I will check the cut / join tutorial. -
LOL....very simple answer.......just select File Mode insraed of movie mode. Your free then to pick and choose exactly what u want from the dvd....

Ok, thank, I will give it a try.
But what the point of the check boxes if they are useless ???

As long as you have highlighted the particular title and angle you want, it'll only rip those files associated with it. You don't need to touch the cells and chaptering. This probably just refers to the chaptering points on the dvd when you skip around on it and has nothing to do with the individual episodes that you are trying to rip.
