Lost ability to view/convert WMV8 files..... Help fix it plz

OK I was doin fine converting WMV files to MPG files with TMPGEnc 2.5.....

then one day had some rebooting problems in WinME...

Now..... when I try to convert or play a WMV with ANYTHING BUT Window Media Player.... I get a grey screen but the audio is fine.... I tried different movie players, tried GraphEdit to convert the files, reinstalled WMV8 codecs and damn near every codec I had on hand and I have most of the popular ones (Kristal, Nimo, Div5 etc....)

Does anyone have idea why this happened and how do I fix it????
