With the same hardware (new Sony Vaio desktop and Pioneer 104 burner) and same media, (TDK DVD-R) I'm trying to determine why I'm getting different results.
Method 1, DVD backup: I use either SmartRipper or Decrypter then IfoEdit then RecordNow (Sony) or Nero to burn. Result: works in some DVD players but not all.
Method 2, create new DVD from AVI: I use DVDit to create and burn the DVD. Result: works in all DVD players.
I've been told it's the media but how could that be if Method 2 works so well? I am running Windows XP but assume that's not an issue. What is different between these two methods that would cause these results?
Suggestions please!
Thanks,
Sean
