    hi there

    i have alot of vhs tapes a
    that i would like to convert to usb.

    also have video 8 tapes also would like to get to usb

    what is an easy way to do this

    On the complex end with tons of equipment, software, post processing, search the other threads.

    Also "good" vs. "garbage". You must choose cards wisely.

    Aside from the capture card, software is important (VirtualDub!) and codec (Huffyuv!)

    Plus a quality VCR / TBC hardware to even allow a good capture experience.

    It's not a simple binary choice. Reading/research required, adequate budget required for the task.
