  1. I have been using TMPGEnc for a while now and have had no problems until now. I had the latest version 2.53 I believe. I purchased a DVD burner the Pioneer A04 and installed it and the software that came with it. I capture a movie off the Sat and was going to convert it to DVD format, but when I try to load the movie clip or any movie clip I get a microsoft error and the program has to close down. I have uninstalled the burner and all the software that came with it, uninstalled/reinstalled TMPGEnc and I still can get it to run, this is really pissing me the f**k off. TMPGenc worked before I put the burner on, but now it doesn't, even with the burner off now. Can someone help me please I'm going bald pulling my hair out, Oh wait I'm already bald damn!

  2. Well, I can't help your hair problem, but regarding your TMPGEnc problem, I suggest you try loading it up in your Safe Mode, and try uninstalling any program that you do not identify on your system.

As a side note, I highly doubt it's the DVDR that is causing you the problem, i'm suspicious of your XP which i'm hoping is not Windows XP, that pathetic OS is a big problem when it comes to compatibility with programs.

I have been running TMPGEnc 2.53 in Windows XP Pro for some time now and have not had a problem. I also have a DVD burner. If TMPGEnc was working on your Windows XP system before you installed the new DVD software, then I suspect that the installation has altered something in your registry that is preventing TMP ti run now. Uninstalling the new programs odesn't necessarily correct this. If you have ystem restore enabled, restore your system to a point in time when you know it was workng properly. If this works, then reinstall the new software. If it renders TMP inoperable again, you know where the problem is.

Incidentially we bald (or going bald) people are now referred to as "folically challenged" LOL

Sorry for all the typos. It should read system restore. That was the critical spelling mistake, although not the only one.
