Problems with v4.21.6.674 and MP4

In the previous h264 version I could not even navigate through an MP4, M4V, or MKV file, much less edit it. The new v4.21.6.674 to which I just upgraded allows me to edit (start, end, and Add Selection) but as soon as I hit Save As the progress window opens and immediately shows a "Problem Encountered with Output" warning which flashes by very quickly. The two files I worked with are M4V but the same problem occurred when I changed the extension to MP4. If I try to start the edit at the beginning, end at the end of the file, and save as a TS it will complete but will not allow me to open the resulting file for editing and the file will not play well in VLC Player. I hope this provides enough detail but if not I'm willing to do some tests if it will help. FWIW, both of these M4V files were created in Handbrake and play fine in VLC Player and the WDTV.
