  1. Hi,
my graphic card has DVI-I output port, I planned to link another monitor to it so I bought one Y splitter, But stupid me bought the
    DVI-D to 2 x DVI-I and 2 x DVI-D to HDMI cables to connect to monitor.

Now, I tried connecting the monitors with these, and it worked initially, but as soon I logged off, the screen went blank and nothing displays and no error or 'NO INPUT SIGNAL' message.

Will this configuration of cables will work to interface the multiple HDMI monitors with DVI-I port or
    do I need to buy an another Y spliter DVI-I to 2 x DVI-D?

It may help if you link to the splitter that you bought.

But if this splitter is not powered you have degraded your signal and that could be why your screen is now blank. Splitters should be 'active' ie powered.

Also, what is your graphics card. Only one dvi output ?

  3. Yes it only has one dvi-i and a vga output,

Now I have connected one monitor directly with dvi-i to usb cable and another one with vga, this setup is working, but with striking difference in display quality, the vga display look quite blurry compare to dvi display. It strains the eyes after a short while working on it.

What do you mean by active splitter? I think they are all the same?

    Best Regards,

If you fully read my reply you would understand what an active splitter is.

    Here is one such device:

And here is another way to do it.

1 x dvi to hdmi cable plus one of these:

The cable is probably your problem. Get a high quality VGA cable. What resolution are you using on each output?

  7. I have set resolution of 1920x1080p on both monitors.

@DB83 Many thanks, now I know what I need to fix it.

    Thanks All,

A good VGA cable will have no problems carrying 1080p60. You just have a bad cable.

A DVI splitter will only allow you to see the same thing on both monitors. You won't get an extended Desktop.
