As a newbie I dont wish to disagree, but my understanding was that MPEG-2's have additional packets containing navigation and search information

I've a VOB (the only copy of my own footage, non-commercial, no copy protection), that wont read into Sonics MyDVD. Is there an easy was to convert it straight back to MPEG2, and then trim? I've tried trim in TMPGEnc and it doesnt like it, it plays OK from the hard disk though.
    Cheers
