Hello.
I was wondering if anyone has a solution to my problem. I've searched all over the internet but i haven't found anything.
my problem is:
when i play a HD mkv file which has DTS audio and I'm using AC3 filter, there are occasionally drop frames. The video skips frames.
If I use EVR in MPC, the problem is solved, but I can't use subtitles that way. (so i use EVR custom or madVR)
If i use ffdshow for audio instead of AC3 filter, the problem is solved again.
But i'd like to use AC3 filter (with EVRcustom or madVR) because i'm used to it, and i like its interface.
Does anyone know how can i solve the problem?
i saw someone else here that had the exact opposite problem: he had dropped frames with fffshow, but not with AC3filter.

I don't know what your setup is (graphics card, sound card, operating system), but if you don't mind a bit of fiddling and tweaking, try this:

 1) MPC-HC Lite, available from http://xhmikosr.1f0.de/mpc-hc/lite/ . I recommend the x86 version.

 2) LAV Filters, from http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=156191 . Again, use x86 installer and read the instructions carefully.

 3) Reclock Audio Renderer, from http://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?t=52203

Remove ac3filter (LAV audio is just better) and the version of mpc-hc you have, reboot, then install the 3 softwares I linked to. I'm not familiar with MadVR, but it's highly probable it will work.

	Hello.
 Thanks for your replies.
Actually I think i solved the problem.

the person that said that had the same problem with ffdshow, was told to uncheck jitter correction.
Now, i noticed then that in AC3filter, it has also an option for that.
So, i unchecked it and the problem was solved.
Although I'm not entirely sure if the performance and quality is exactly the same as before (except for the skip frames)

I tried to find information about that but i didn't understand.
Does anyone know what jitter correction does exactly?

Also i did some tests and i saw that:
 - in the 3-4 mkvs that had a skip-frames problem, the numbers under the jitter correction option (encircled in red) are running,
-while in other mkvs, they don't do anything. they stick to 0.
