  1. I have more than 100+ DVD movies some of them is old and i ripped them using DVD Decrypter which it gave me 1 IFO file and 1 BIG VOB file with all audio tracks and all subtitles and it works perfect because i want to play them in my Merlin Pocket HDD.
Now i have newer DVD which DVD Decrypter wont work with it, i tryed AnyDVD with DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink and no luck.
I tried AnyDVD but it wont give me an option to extract IFO file and 1 VOB, it rips everything which too much time consuming and more than 1 VOB file which is not what i want
i also tryed DVDFab 9 its the same as AnyDVD
I tried to join the VOB using some programs but its very bad some of the movies runs 2 hour after joing it give me 1 hour
All i want is to do the same as DVD Decrypter which i chose The main movie and IFO and rip them with 1 IFO file and 1 Big VOB file.
can anyone help me or guide me?

Use AnyDVD to rip to an ISO image.
Mount the image with Daemon Tools Lite.
Open the mounted image with DVDDecrypter.

But copying the disc to your hard drive MOVIE ONLY with DVDFabDecrypter then using VOB2MPG would be much easier.

  4. Wait for the next version of DVDFab and AnyDVD to come out, the DVD probably has a new copy-protection.
What is the name of the DVD?
What errors do you get when trying to rip it?

The OP stated it rips with anydvd & dvdfab but give him the usual dvd structure instead of 1 vob, which dvd decrypter will do but chokes on the newer dvd.

The 2 options hech listed are pretty much it.

If I had this same problem....I would look at something else on your computer for the problem.
    Hardware, other software.....something.
If it was only one disc....I'd say bad disc....but two discs?
    Something is not right.

  8. They were both released by the same production company, I still think it's copy-protection.

Does it play with the VOB structure? That is has it been succesfully decrypted?

If so THEN use DVD Shrink on it to save the main movie as a single VOB. Though when I do that I have found some players do not like a single VOB and stop at the 1GB limit.

Go to DVD Shrink - Edit - Preferences - Output File Tab
Split VOB files into 1GB size chunks (recommended).

    Uncheck the Box

Pot player does not play nice with the full disk version after conversion to a single VOB, works normal with the original. I couldn't get it to advance but it played right at the start. Might have stopped when I got the 1 GB mark but that would take about 20 minutes to find ouit. VLC was OK with it as far as I could tell. Chapters and seeking worked.

Same for the movie only version. Flaky at best in Pot player and working right in VLC.

Try RipIt4Me. I've only come across the same error once when using AnyDVD to decrypt DVDs and trying to open them with DVDShrink, but RipIt4Me worked fine (AnyDVD still decrypting). Once Ripit4Me has done it's thing and opened DVD Decrypter to rip the disc you should be able to change the DVD Decrypter settings yourself if need be. Well I don't see why not. Alternatively RipIt4Me has a "movie only" mode if that's what you're after. It can't hurt to try.....

  15. I tried DVDShrink it takes too much time while i hear the DVD sound then after like 5 minute it tells me there is no disk
BTW i have LG DVDRAM till now i ripped around 300GB in 66 Movies with no problem and i tried DVDShrink in other DVD it works FINE.....SO NO PROBLEM IN MY DVDRAM OR HDD OK
i will try RipIt4Me and give you feedback

  17. It's just some sort of structural copy protection. Mostly it's not a problem and chances are sooner or later AnyDVD will be updated and DVD Decrypter will be able to rip those discs with AnyDVD running in the background again.
I know Ripit4Me uses DVD Decrypter, which is why I said RipIt4Me will do it's thing then open DVD Decrypter, but RipIt4Me does the analysing and in my case that allowed DVD Decrypted to load the RipIt4Me file and rip the disc, but unfortunately that didn't work for you.

The suggestion by someone else earlier to use DVD Shrink wasn't to open the disc but to re-author it after AnyDVD has ripped it. AnyDVD should rip them fine (although I think you said it already has) and then you can just open the ripped files using DVDShrink as you would the disc. Go into it's options and tell it not to split vob files, set the target output size to something huge so it won't try to re-encode the video when re-authoring it, open the ripped files, use the re-author button and drae the main movie from the right pane to the left pane. Use DVDShrink's backup function to save the re-authored version to a new location on your hard drive and you'll have a new set of DVD files including the single large vob file you're after.

Yes it'll take a bit longer than opening the discs directly and re-authoring them while ripping, but it's only two discs.

If you are using AnyDVD, you should send a error report to Slysoft and hope that they update the copy protection. I have used AnyDVD for the last 5 years or more and have had very good results. I have used Imgburn, CloneDVD, and DVD shrink with AnyDVD without a hitch. Sounds like it is the disc makers protection making you have such bad out come.
If it feels good, do it.

Ahhh, an excellent example of the true meaning of VideoHELP: Someone provides someone else with an exact answer to their question without making any snarky comments about how long the information seeker has been a member of this board and, therefore, should have known the answer already.

hamood: Download DVDFAB 8 at the following link: http://www.dvdfab.com/download.htm Also look at the inner circle of the DVD on the read side to see where the disc is manufactured to ie: mexico, usa, france, canada...and so on. If the rip fails report it at https://www.facebook.com/dvdfab?ref=ts&fref=ts and wait for Fab media staff to reply.

This is a time code error. DVDFAB 8 has the (TCE) issue corrected.

    Lose the attitude.

DVDfab is what you probably should have been using to rip it to begin with. Then anydvd etc. for any sort of playing around.

Hamood: Just to let you know Fab 9 is still in beta stages where Fab 8 is more stable than 9. We're only trying to help you out. It was myself that discovered different - new types of encryptions by country are coming into role. I reported my discovery to Fab over 1 year ago as now they have confirmed it.

If you plan to keep the quality the same, run the ripped file with makemkv and the time track should be fixed.
