Hey guys, I've been using MeGUI, and switched to TX 264 for some reasons.

However on MeGUI I could set the Priority of the encode to High, which would allow me to encode a 22 mins episode within 7 minutes
On TX 264 a sample (5 minutes) would take me about 12 minutes. Any way on how to set the priority to high?

CPU usage is a plain 29%, and it's taken all by the x264, I just wish it'd take away all my CPU usage like MeGUI so that it'd speed up.

Using an i7 with 6GB RAM, ask about any additional info if needed.

  2. Setting the priority high will not make it encode any faster unless you have some other CPU hungry program running at the same time. The best solution to that is to shut down that other process. Priority is just that -- which program gets more or less CPU time when multiple programs are asking for it. If only one program is running it gets as much CPU time as it asks for.

If Task Manager shows the System Idle Process is receiving the bulk of CPU time you just have a bottleneck in the program. Ie, maybe it needs to be set to more threads. Or a particular filter is running in a single thread, starving the encoder.
