Hello, i have alot of anime in .mkv format.

I use VLC to watch it, and the subtitles work fine.

However, when i convert it to avi (with super converter) to watch it on my DVD player (divx) only some of the videos have subtitles.

Sometimes when i open the mkv files with vlc, it says at the start 'encoded with minicoder'. The videos that have this at the start are the ones that are missing subtitles when i convert to AVI.

The minicoder ones have 'Subtitle Track 1: [und]' under the 'subtitle' section on VLC.
The ones that work fine in AVI have nothing under the subtitle track on VLC.
Also, subtitles is not turned off on my dvd player.

Is there an easy way to fix this problem?
I don't want to go through the long process of extracting all the subtitles and converting them manually with the subtitles and stuff.

    Thanks.

Long process to extract sub? Use mkvextractgui2 and then name the video and sub same name like video.avi video.srt.

Or if you want burned in subs like super try freemake video converter.
