  1. Hi,
I posted this a few days ago, but didn't receive any help. Could somebody please take the time to tell me how to do this correctly?

Ok, so I have a movie that's been downloaded. Here are the specs:

    [SIZE]: 1493 MB
    [CONTAINER]: mp4
    [RESOLUTION]: 576 x 432 (4:3) @ 29.970 FPS
    [VIDEO]: x264 @ 1588 kbps
    [AUDIO]: AAC @ 192 kbps
    [LENGTH]: 118 Mins

I'd like to be able to get this movie into Encore to author it and create menus then burn onto a 4.7 GB DVD. I need to resize it to 720x480 so that Encore will accept the file. And ideally I don't want to have to transcode in Encore. Could somebody tell me the correct process? What's the best container to use for this?

These are the programs I have: Encore CS3, Premiere CS3, VisualHub, MPEG Streamclip, and Quicktime Pro.

    Thank you!

Yes, there's a whole PC universe out there, you don't have to settle for a Mac.

Isn't there a mac version of AviDemux? You could use that to convert your mp4 to a DVD compatible mpg then author it with whatever authoring app you have.

  6. I downloaded AviDemux, but it says that I can't use it on this version of Mac OS X. Any other ideas?
