ripped dvd with dvd decrypter , ran them through dvd2avi, then encoded with tmpgenc (vfapi pluggin enabled) .All vobs processed fine bar 1, after encoding with tmpgenc, I got a completly different audio (like a documentary of the film sequence) . now ive heard that these vobs can be dual layered??, but is there any way to encode these and keep the original audio .it would save so much hassle forgot to mention that i checked the vob with power dvd , and the audio was fine before encoding

All VOB's contain all the audio soundtracks, what you need to do is change the soundtrack number in DVD2AVI before you save the project, that way it will create the correct WAV file for you.
