  1. I can't decoding AVC video with virtualdub.
I try to open with the quicktime plugin (the video is an mp4) but says "unable to initialize quicktime:initializeQTML".
I try to check "ask for extended option after this dialog" an to use "ICP decomp" and "MovieTask".
I try to open with the DirectShow input driver but says "... does not have a video stream".
In the ffdshow VFW interface the AVC decoder is in "libavcodec".

    What can i do?

  2. opened with the DirectShow input driver, i try to click the second play button (output playback) and i can see the video (the decoding works)
if i click on the first (input playback) it says "The decompression codec cannot decompress to an RGB format. This is very unusual. Check that any "Force YUY2" options are not enabled in the codec's properties"

That's some long standing bug in VirtualDub. Try forcing ffdshow to output RGB. Note that you will be using DirectShow decoders, not VFW, when using the DirectShow plugin.

It might also be possible to force the input colorspace in VirtualDub via Video -> Color Depth. Not sure about that though.
