You could try reconvert the audio to wma2, see https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/310333-How-to-change-audio-codec-in-WMV-video-from-...=1#post1914340

And I guess you have tried play with latest wmp 12?

  3. No, I've tried with previous version of WMP. I'll try to play it in the newest version.
Does Windows Media Encoder support batch encoding or command line options?..

  4. By the way, since I'm using Microsoft Windows XP SP3, WMP 12 is not the best for me, Microsoft says

  5. Windows Media Encoder was unable to convert my file, saying that "The given unit is corrupted, badly formatted, or otherwise not valid"... I'm stucked...
In any cases, converting is very time consuming process for me...

Is there any other way to play this kind of file?..

Try demuxing the file with AsfBin. Normally, you should get a .WMV (video only) and a
.WMA (audio only). If this latter isn't "playable",
then the source file is really corrupt or something.

Unfortunately, this is the case: asf file, result of AsfBin processing, is still being played the same way... I will try to download it once again.
