Be gentle am a newbie: I recently purchased vob2meg pro, but when I try to rip direct from a dvd it just chokes on the vob files, I actually use anydvd to remove the protections first. However it seems ok when I re-author the dvd as single vob in dvd shrink, this is not good as am then loosing some of vob2meg pro features. Ideally I just want to use vob2meg pro with anydvd, please can anyone offer any help what might be causing this problem in vob2meg pro.![]()

Thanks for your reply Bonie81, perhaps I should of supplied more detail in my original post, the reason I want to use vob2mpegpro is I that I want a single mpeg file that plays on my laptop via windows media center and then stream it across to my xbox for this reason I use vob2mpegpro, also I think my original problem has been resolved. I think vob2megpro only likes vobs ripped to the harddrive on my laptop via dvd shrink instead of a direct rip with vob2megpro. I did look at virtualdub as you suggested but it looked to complicated to me, is there any guides for using it as am not adverse to trying out any software that might be of help to me in the near future.

It's always better to rip the disc to your hard drive FIRST....then play with it once it's on the hard drive. Doing all of that from the original protected disc while it's in the drive is just asking for trouble.
